The paintings of Ahn Mal-gum, who won the Artist of the Year award at the 2006 Korea Art Exhibition and participated in the 'Korean Art Today' exhibition commemorating the World Expo in Milan, Italy, are full of power. Her nature-themed works, such as "Lily Scent" and "Dreaming Tree," capture the viewer's attention with their thick textures, while his sacred paintings, such as "Communion Service" (pictured) and "Self Portrait with Flower Crown," reveal his passion for faith. Her solo exhibition will be held at the Hangaram Museum of Art, Seocho-gu, Seoul, from Nov. 11 to 15. She was invited to participate in the 2015 Art Korea Art Fair, organized by the Korea Art Association. She presented 20 new works that pioneered a unique style of painting with intense colors and three-dimensional compositions. The message of the works is 'love and hope'. "My dream is to become a world-class artist and build the Seonghwa Museum of Art," she said.
